CECBEMS (Nationwide)

Wild Iris Medical Education is an approved provider of continuing education by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS), Provider #0007.

Get Approval from Your Licensing Agency First

Some states do not automatically accept CECBEMS approval. If you are not sure, check with your state EMS agency to verify that CECBEMS approval will be accepted before you take our courses for the purpose of using them to meet certification requirements.

Wild Iris Medical Education is approved as a provider of continuing education for paramedics and EMTs in California by the California Emergency Services Authority (CA EMS provider #49–0057).

Frequently Asked Questions

QuestionCan I obtain an EMT or Paramedic license taking your courses?

AnswerNo. Our courses are for EMS professionals who currently have a license and need continuing education courses in order to renew their license, or who are seeking a new license in another state.

QuestionI don't have my license yet. Can I take your courses?

AnswerYes. However, in most cases our courses will not be applicable towards earning your license. Check with your licensing board if you have any questions about this.

QuestionCan I take your courses even though I am not a Paramedic or EMT?

AnswerYes. Our courses are available to anyone, including first responders, students, caregivers, healthcare professionals of any designation, and the general public who are interested in the topics we offer. In most cases our courses will not be applicable towards earning an EMT or Paramedic license.

QuestionIs CECBEMS approval of your courses accepted in my state?

QuestionCan I take a course even if my state does not accept CECBEMS approval?

AnswerYes. You can take any of our courses for your own education no matter where you live.

QuestionDo you report to CE Broker?

AnswerYes. We automatically report the course completions of Florida license holders to the Florida Department of Health via the CE Broker system.

QuestionHow long do your courses take to finish?

AnswerEMS courses are designed to take 50 minutes per contact hour to complete.

After you have passed the test, registering for your certificate typically takes about 10 minutes.
